Our Scheduled Gap Year modules vary in length from 2 to 5 weeks. Join one module, several modules, or come along for a semester or a whole year – it’s up to you.

GAP FOR GOOD gets you to an interesting corner of the globe and lets you soak in the culture while creating positive energy with invaluable community service work. These programs tend to be lower in cost and have a higher level of cultural immersion than our Scheduled Gap Programs, since they allow you to live in one place for an extended period of time.

String together several Gap for Good Projects in distinctly different parts of a country or the world and stay in each place for as long as you’d like! You’ll find yourself fully immersed in parts of the world that see very few outsiders, while having amazing cultural experiences and doing meaningful service work. Rustic Pathways has numerous Gap for Good options and they tend to change as projects evolve and our own organization moves into new areas. If you have your own project ideas, we can even help put those into action! CUSTOM GAP YEARS are gap year programs for individuals or small groups that are arranged on an individual basis. Custom Gap Programs can be as long or as short as you wish – from a few weeks to 15-months in length. You can start and stop when you want, go where you want, and basically build a Gap experience that is exactly what fits your lifestyle! Custom Gap Programs tend to be the most expensive option as they are designed just for you and usually run by a team of our country experts and private guides as you move around the world.
